Wormwood, as the name implies, have been used traditionally to promote intestinal cleansing. Herbalists also value bitter tonic for relieving occasional constipation and promoting healthy liver function.

Wormwood is a truly bitter tonic- its botanical name absinthium is translated ‘without sweetness’. The bitter taste however, jump-starts healthy digestive function.

HERBALIST HINT: If brewing Wormwood tea, you can add aromatic herbs and spices such as Peppermint, Spearmint or Cinnamon to alleviate the bitter taste

Common use:

Promotes intestinal cleansing; bitter digestive tonic; supports healthy digestion; alleviates nausea, gas, bloating, feeling of fullness; occasional acid indigestion; promotes healthy liver function.

Suggested directions:

1 to 2 cups of tea daily. If desired, add honey and/or lemon to taste. NOT TO BE USED DURING PREGNANCY OR WHILE NURSING. USE WITH CAUTION. DO NOT EXCEED RECOMMENDED DOSE. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR LONG-TERM USE.
