Whether you are testing saliva pH to see the overall clear fluid pH of the body, or urine to determine kidney function, the Power of pH™ Test Strips are impregnated with universal indicators onto the test areas to provide a much greater degree of accuracy. Litmus paper is more quickly affected by air, heat, moisture, and light than are these test strips due to their protective packaging.

Suggested use: 

  1. Once a week in the morning (before you eat or drink anything), fill a plastic spoon with saliva.
  2. Immerse a pH test strip in the saliva for at least 90 seconds.
  3. Match the colors of the pH strip to the chart that comes with your pH test strips (see example)*.
