Lemongrass lends its delightful natural, mild lemon flavor to East Indian cuisine and tasty herbal teas. It’s a traditional Caribbean and South American remedy for soothing the nerves and relieving digestive complaints.

Add Lemon Grass to medicinal teas to improve the taste or make a refreshingly, healthy iced tea (it blends well with other citrusy herbs such as Lemon Balm & Lemon Verbena, as well as Hibiscus, Rose Hips, and Sweet Orange Peel).

Common use:

Promotes healthy digestion; relieves gas, stomachaches, abdominal cramps; calms nervousness; culinary herb; improves taste of medicinal-tasting teas.

Other Uses:

Use in herbal skin care preparations; the bright, uplifting scent is ideal for herbal potpourris.

Suggested directions:

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over ½ to 1 teaspoonful of herb. Allow to steep 4-7 minutes, then strain. Drink 1- 2 cups of tea daily. If desired, add honey and/or lemon to taste. NOT TO BE USED DURING PREGNANCY.
